The case of prerequisite courses administered by Mexico City’s government program Myrna Hernández Gutiérrez

Abstract

The Coordinación de Bachillerato a Distancia at UNAM developed an innovative educational model for high school teaching.  In it, tutors and counselors collaborate in an effort to follow up students’ learning.  The article presents a management strategy focused in the prerequisite courses offered by Mexico City’s government.  A distinctive characteristic is that the courses are offered to populations composed of thousands of students.
