Redesigning Mathemathic Courses to improve student achievment in Online High School Courses

Abstract

In this presentation we approach the redesigning process of the Mathematic courses in the Online High School program offered by the Autonomous University of Yucatán., with the goal of overcoming the high failing rates and difficulties detected in students regarding the learning of Mathematics, utilizing and designing suitable resources and the creation and implementation of activities which provide students with support mechanisms that allows them acquire the mathematical knowledge they require, helping them reach academic achievement and guarantying their permanence in this program.
