Abstract

A thematic guide for self-reflection is presented, from a constructivist perspective, on advice given during an online course, focusing on advisor skills (tasks) in three different moments: planning, monitoring and closure. This proposal contrasts the traditional way of monitoring advisor work, restricted to evidence on platform such as written communication, number of accesses and duration of interaction, being quantitative indicators that hardly contribute to awareness of the need to develop certain teaching skills. One of the most important skills in teaching is to be mindful about the impact of one’s actions. The guide considers that the advisor’s actions are restricted to an institutional framework (ideal) and little is valued of what they do, how they do it and the impact of their intervention for students to achieve the expected learning which is what this proposal aims.
