Abstract

The purpose of this article is to display both, the survey made to students about the Unidades de Aprendizaje de Orientación, included in the curricula of the NMS at the UANL, and its advances, which contribute to the integral formation of the student body.
In particular, this article will discuss how the Online High School program works, by means of the NEXUS platform of the UANL, searching through new technologies how to best support the students with the acquisition of competences –about learning how to learn, being and relating to people, planning, and about choosing a career; all of this without neglecting the attention, rather complementing it, provided –as support services— by the Programa Institucional de Tutoría and the Programa Institucional de Orientación. So far we have counted with the acceptance of the student body and, of course, the understanding of the precautionary purposes’ facilitators of this modality, which aim to provide orientation through learning units within the curricula, as part of an Orientation Model by UANL; a model that is constantly improving.
