Written Communication and Virtual High School: Reflection Notes • Karim J. Carvajal Raygoza


This paper begins with a reflection on my practice as a designer and developer of online courses. It explores the importance of written communication in the teaching process in the Virtual High School e-learning modality. It reflects on the need to rethink its role in terms of its nature and implications, and highlights the relevance of the communicative situation, the situational context and the reader-student as essential elements in written productions used as learning activities. I suggest four teacher training lines to improve writing as a means of effective communication in e-learning environments.
