Abstract

Online Education is part of great global transformations and every day is turning into great educational tool, bringing people closer regardless their geographical location. This new educational management goes beyond the achievement of competences and skills, especially considering we are living in a world with deep changes and uncertainty: it also participates in the equal and legitimate access both for women and men to societies of knowledge from integrating learning.

In this work, we have focused on the Graduation Ceremonies of UVEG, which is the ultimate academic expression due to their significance and social symbolism. Additionally, we will review the speeches of a few graduates that finally meet in these spaces where virtuality ends and a place where individual and collective success gather. In that sense, we will highlight the educational value of the intergenerational concept that online education offers. Finally we remark the importance of the virtual education as an strategy for social and economic development in the a cultural diversity framework.
