The Use of Blogs as a Teaching-Learning Strategy in Distance Education

We present the experience gained from the use of a blog as a teaching-learning strategy with three baccalaureate students in the Sistema de Educación en línea of the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán. This tool was used for the presentation of a final project that integrates knowledge and skills developed in the course “Seres vivos: adaptación al ambiente”. During its preparation we observed the development of digital competencies, autonomy and value judgments, as well as improved study habits. The theme chosen promotes environmental care and is a portrait of the cultural richness of the state of Yucatan.
