Abstract

This article discusses the experience of the use of homemade scientific experiments in the units of Biology for everyday life, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry from the perspective of teachers in charge, supported by the opinion of some students. Different experiments were used, such as recycling, plastic production, acid-base neutralization, among others. They were initially proposed from a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to carry out the experiment, with stimulating questions and a pre-structured report. However, throughout the learning units, more autonomy was given each time to the student, most of them successfully fulfilled all the directions, showing great progress in their scientific methodological development.
