The Distance Teacher as a Communicative Agent Francisco Javier Macías Mendoza

Abstract

Distance learning involves revising the communicative act it entails. This paper stems from a totally personal point of view which derives from experience, and hopes to illustrate not only the situation but also the typical course for a teacher who works in this modality.
The roles a distance teacher plays in this communicative act, during his daily work as student counsellor or tutor, are also analyzed.
