Abstract

The social representations of the students, of the Online High School program of the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa (UAS), about educational inclusion are explored in this article. The purpose of this exporation is to know how much of an impact have the inclusive practices of the institution had on the creation of culture of diversity, and on the development of the generic competences set forth in the Reforma Integral de la Educación Media Superior (RIEMS). The latter, by means of the Marco Curricular Común (MCC), whose contents and atributes refer to the creation of a culture of respect for diversity.

From an interpretative perspective this is a qualitative research, made on students of the final semester, a semi-directed interview was applied to these students about three subjects of interest: information about educational inclusion, assumed attitudes in relation to the processes of educational inclusion; and lastly, images constructed in response to the social subject in question. The results show that our educational institution has had a favorable impact on the creation of a culture of diversity on the students, as well as on the generic competences shared in the construction of an inclusive society.
