Abstract

The context of learning has been transformed. Information technologies and ICT Communication have taken a leading role in high school education, and since the Educational Reform of the Higher Education Level, we have begun to look toward new learning modalities. From a constructivist conception, where the student plays a leading role in his learning, the instructional model for virtual courses is offered as an opportunity to attend to the needs of the students, where the teacher can deploy strategies mediated by technology in order to promote the development of competences in the students. This article describes the elements that make up the instructional design, and the characteristics of the different instructional models that can guide the professionals in education who are immersed in the construction of virtual courses.
