Abstract

Knowledge is a social phenomenon today, and with the emergence of virtual educational environments, it is necessary to strengthen that notion; the social construction of knowledge is mediated by the influence of others, so learning implies acquiring cultural knowledge and reconstructing it, a process that makes it significant. Here we introduce a proposition to consolidate the learning based on projects for the subject Biology II in the Virtual High School program offered by the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, and once it is applied we aim to reach goals that will help students develop integral and significant learning achievements such as their biological self-knowledge, that they can continuously live the collaborative learning experience and to encourage the use of social media with a focus on education.
