“Coordinate what? What Is this about!”: The Experience of the General Baccalaureate by Interdisciplinary Areas in Tonalá High School • Martha Eugenia Vázquez Silva

Abstract

The General Baccalaureate of the Tonala High School has made a significant progress even with limitations such as insufficient laboratories, equipment and classrooms. Students are once more responsible for their study obligations, and are committed to learning to learn. Some students quit because the use of technology or their economic situation represent an obstacle; others are forced to study due to job demands. However the main issue is the will to learn, the obstacles are the students themselves. We encourage them to continue on the path of learning.
