The present work constitutes a proposal for the design of assignments for the teaching of mathematics through distance learning programs, taking some theoretical and conceptual frameworks into account, such as the use of technology in learning mathematics and problem solving.
With that purpose in mind, we include a set of elements, which we consider to be fundamental for the student to have a better understanding of the subject. An objective, the purpose of the activity; the mathematical elements included, previously acquired knowledge; a scenario, the context, in which it will develop, and an inquisitive process, are all elements which we think should be taken into account when designing learning activities. Also, it is our belief that such a construct may provide guidance for Math teachers working for distance learning programs during the process of designing learning activities. The main purpose is to contribute to the development of some generic and disciplinary learning programs, so that the student may benefit from a better understanding of the subject and, as a consequence, have a better performance.
