Abstract

Partial results are presented of research on discussion forums used during a teacher refresher course of blended learning system at high school education level. It involved 13 teachers who worked in blended learning system with online support through the Moodle platform. Interactions occurring among participants, and dynamics of social and cognitive presence of the adviser and his students were studied. As a result, recorded interactions were documented to describe the development of cognitive presence of participants during the course’s two forums. Finally, we suggest that discussion forums are used more as an exhibition space than as an interaction space.
