Abstract

This article describes the model of evaluation, of the non-schooled and semi-schooled distance modalities of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, which frames the study of academic desertion, its causes and the solution strategies proposed; as well as the currently obtained triumphs in reducing the dropping out phenomenon. The IPN has focused on achieving the matriculation, permanence, and completion of studies, of students at the upper and higher education levels.
