Strategies to teach written communication in distance education: imagine a ship and its crew Waldo Manuel Fabián González

Abstract

In the Reading and writing prerequisite course of Bachillerato a Distancia del Gobierno del Distrito Federal, the tutor offers reflections based on three years successful experience. The author represents the teaching experience as an allegory.  It is a ship, its students are shipmates, †he language that of a navy and the teacher’s diary, for example, the ship’s log.  The storms represent platform failures.
